It’s been a bumper bonus week for us on the awards front…
Earlier this week we were very chuffed to learn we’d won 4 awards at the Broadcast Design Awards, including gold awards for Campaign Design (our Europe United work for Sky Sports) and Bound Piece (our Brothers and Sisters Annual). We were especially bowled over to receive the Judges Choice Award – where the judges vote for the best of all the gold winners.
And now – news just in – we’ve added to our haul by winning 9 awards at the Promax World Gold Marketing awards last night. 2 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronze… It’s like the Olympics!
After all that, we might just have to go and have a beer after work tonight…
You’ve no doubt seen some of our work in the last few weeks, be it in the press, online or outdoor.
As promised… We’ve been busy! Work has included a campaign for Sky’s new drama ‘The Take’ and the current Ashes campaign for Sky Sports. The work we did for the Ashes also included a microsite.
Late in April we blogged about the fundraiser we held for our friends in Mali. The money we raised went towards helping Ballo, our main man in Bamako, and ADCE, the teacher training scheme he runs. This week, we heard news from Ballo that the desks we’d bought had been delivered at the school in Kola! Before the desks arrived 6 or 7 kids were squeezing onto benches meant for 3. This way at least lessons will be a bit more comfortable!
It’s great to see the money we raised making a difference. Our next project is a third classroom for the school and there are talks under way for the provision of a library. Keep your ears to the ground for the next fundraising event – a pub quiz/game show night we’re holding later in the year – it’s going to be huge!
