It will be in its usual home of the (newly refurbished) Alphabet Baron Beak St. So come along, bring your mates, bring your dates and get your chuckle on.

Big boss man Andy Fowler and creative super duo Lisa and Kirsten™ popped over to Croatia the other day for the Epica award ceremony where they picked up a huge hunk of glass – aka The Epica d’Or, which is the grand prix in the interctive category. (It won a prize in the mobile category too.) They had a little disco, sampled some local cuisine and jetted back home with their bags weighing over their limit. (Awards, not smuggling contraband.)
The time has finally come for our long serving HP 5550. She’s an old gal and has been on her last legs for a while and although we are not going through a mid-life crissis we have trader her in for a younger, sportier model. So ladies and gentlemen, raise your glasses for the beloved HP 5550 and please welcome the Cannon Image Runner. (With scan and fax.)

And to celebrate all things inky and good have a peep at this video that tells you how all our lovely inks are made.
The hugely influential blog designboom has just picked up on Lisa and Kirsten’s work with Mentalgassi for Amnesty International. Which is great news as it shows just how wide the exposure now is for Troy Davis‘ case. Massive LOL at Designboom though for literally copy and pasting from our original post. They included the ™ at the end of Lisa and Kirsten that I put there as a joke. Maybe I’ll trademark them for their birthday.

Yesterday, we where very privileged to have the legendary artist/designer Anthony Burill come in and talk to us about himself, stuff and work. The scope and range of his work is deceptively large and you could be forgiven for thinking that he just creates thosehip typographic posters. It was particularly interesting to see how much Kraftewerk has influenced him and continiues to do so, but I guess when you end up working for your heroes it must be difficult not to. (He built their first website.) He was, is and will probably continue to be a thoroughly nice chap and amazing influence on us creative types.
I’ve not been very good at keeping tabs on the Happiness Shrine of late, it’s been winter so not many people have been jetting off and trotting the globe. However, the shrine has grown exponentially and is now awash with an array of curios form countries far and wide. Below is a selection of new additions to please/repulse your eyes.
First up, a big thank you to everybody that came to our little soiree, it was an absolute ball.
The audio from the last Slam night is now available to download, so if you missed it the first time round or loved it enough to listen again, you can download or stream it all using the links above. The latest addition to our team over here at B&S HQ is Dominique Dalton, Dom for short. She joins us from DLKW where she started as a grad in 2007 and has worked for the past three years managing the beast that is Morrisons Value TV and Press. Here are three facts and a face for your viewing pleasure.
She is half Persian, half English and says that people can never figure out where she is from.
She is a Man United fan, despite being a bit of a girly girl.
One of her lesser know talents is that she can carry six cups of tea at once – which comes in useful for tea rounds.
