My blog this week is about the splendid pub in Denham Street called ‘The Queens Head’.

We stumbled upon this watering hole when we were given some 2 for 1 meal flyers outside our office. Upon entering The Queens Head, one can only describe it as a tardis of a pub. Stretched over two floors, it accommodates not only a good atmosphere but also a fine selection of ales and a varied lunchtime and evening menu. The pick of the bunch is the Steak and Wandle Ale Pie, served on creamy mash with peas and gravy. Not to be missed.

It also has a stand-up comedy act, showing once a week in the upstairs bar, which will be reviewed by us finance gents very soon!

Prices are very reasonable and with the Two for One offer, it really does make it worthwhile if you want to socialise at a leisurely pace.

The Two for One offer is currently available from Monday to Wednesday and can be purchased from the finance department at a reasonable cost.
