Our creative director, Steve Shannon, has just run a half marathon in aid of our friends in Mali. However, this was no ordinary marathon… Oh no… Steve ran the whole 13.1 miles in Dehli, India. He battled a mean 30 degree heat and the odd bollywood star to complete the run in great time. Get in! Mention must also be made of the most epic effort that went into getting Steve dressed for the big day… The Shannon was supposed to run in a specially made, custom designed running outfit that stylist friend Minty had made for him. Unfortunately the postal strike meant that come the day of departure Steve was still without kit! Despite gallant efforts to rush the outfit down the M40 from Warwick (this time thwarted by a horrendous pile up) he admitted defeat and boarded the plane without it. So, a bit of fuss needs to be made of the wonderful local designer in Dehli Diwas who, on hearing of Steve’s plight, whipped out her sewing machine and knocked up a new running top in less than 24 hours. You can see the fruits of her labour below. Pretty fetching we think!
Anyhow… If you are reading this and still want to donate money to Steve’s fund – you can! Just click here to donate. So far, a whopping £2000 has been raised, which is enough to buy a whole library for our school in Mali.
