Before anyone was talking about data we were talking about data. We realised that there was a clear link between the type of music people all over the UK were listening to on Spotify and their mood. We created the Mood of the Nation project using live Spotify data, to work out which city was the happiest in the UK. We used digital posters in major cities to keep people updated on the results. In the end Birmingham won. Surprising.
